Bailén is the fourth article included in Episodio nacional (National Episode). It tells the story of the Battle of Bailén in Andalucía Province, Spain on July 19th, 1808 shortly after Madrid uprisings on May 12th. The Spanish force led by General Francisco Castaños and Spanish people threw themselves again into the fighting against Napoleon troops and finally expelled who they called “villain” out of Spain. During that period, Napoleon army was on an expedition to Austria and Prussia, and was regarded as European destroyer.
