Zhang Tianyi (1906- 85), originally known as Zhang Yuanding, was a famous author of children’s literature in China. His work included famous tales such as Da Lin and Xiao Lin and The Secret of the Magic Bottle Gourd. Deeply loved by readers, he is often regarded as the “Hans Christian Anderson of China”.
