The stories of China and Thailand have a long history. As early as more than 2,000 years ago, the Chinese and Thai people started friendly exchanges. China and Thailand are both distant relatives and close neighbors. There has never been a war or unresolved land dispute in history. This has become a solid foundation for the friendly coexistence between the people of China and Thailand from generation to generation. After the establishment of normal diplomatic relations in 1975, the exchanges between the two countries have developed by leaps and bounds. Today, Thailand is an important partner of China in developing relations with ASEAN, and an important partner of cooperation in the construction of the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road".
