The Writers Publishing House is a state-leveled large-scale literature publishing house established in 1953, affiliated to the Chinese Writers’ Association . There are 13 book editorial departments, one distribution company, more than 1,300 sales outlets across the country, and an office of Writers ’ Digest (a weekly of state-wide excellence of the similar kind, with an amount of distribution as large as 0.35 million copies for each issue), with a faculty more than 100 people. In 2003, the Publishing House is forming “ The Chinese Writers Publishing Group ” with some other state-leveled presses and publishing houses, including Art and Literature Newspaper, People ’ s Literature, Periodical of Selected Short Stories, Poetry, Chinese Writers, National Literature, China’s Campus Literature, Global Entrepreneurs, etc.. The Book Distribution Corporation under the Writers Publishing House is one of the best in China , with a nation-wide selling net of 1300 shops throughout the country.
